OnePlus Watch 2 : New smartwatch Launched in india

In the beginning of this year, the OnePlus Watch 2 was introduced in India, and in recent times, a new OnePlus smartwatch has been making headlines through leaks. With model number OPWW234, a OnePlus smartwatch recently received certifications from 3C and CMIIT. It was revealed that the upcoming OnePlus smartwatch will come with 10W fast charging support and will be sold without a power adapter. This same model number has also been spotted on the TUV Rheinland certification site. Additionally, a similar model number has received BIS certification in India, indicating a connection with the rumored OnePlus Watch 3.

The certification listings shared by 91Mobiles indicate that a OnePlus smartwatch with model number OPWWE234 has been listed on India's BIS certification site. The database does not explicitly mention the name of the smartwatch, but reports suggest that it could be linked to the OnePlus Watch 3. Notably, the previous OnePlus Watch 2 had received certifications with model number OPWWE231, further fueling speculation about the upcoming model being the OnePlus Watch 3. However, OnePlus has not officially released any information regarding any upcoming smartwatches yet.

The BIS certification does not provide any additional information apart from the model number. Although, it was mentioned in the report that a OnePlus smartwatch with model number OPWW231 has received TUV Rheinland certification. This aligns with the previous certification and raises expectations of a similar smartwatch. The certification reveals that the upcoming OnePlus smartwatch will feature a 550mAh battery. For those unaware, the OnePlus Watch 2 was also launched with a similar battery pack capacity and the company claimed it could provide up to 100 hours of battery life on a full charge.

In May, the OPWW231 model number was seen in the 3C and CMIIT certification databases in China. From the 3C certification, it was revealed that the smartwatch will support 10W fast charging and will be sold without a power adapter. Meanwhile, insights from the other certification database suggest that the upcoming OnePlus smartwatch will support connectivity such as TD-LTE, WCDMA, WLAN, and Bluetooth.

As of now, the company has remained silent on the launch of any upcoming smartwatches. OnePlus had launched the Watch 2 earlier this year in India for a price of Rs 24,999.
