Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia on Sunday shared an old video of Narendra Modi talking about the politicization of the CBI when he was the Chief Minister of Gujarat.Recalling a famous quote, Sisodia said, 'Even the weather changes slowly, but the speed of your change surprises even the wind, sir. In the video shared by Sisodia, he criticized the politicization of CBI by Narendra Modi and how Gujarat ministers and officials are harassed by the agency. "If you don't listen to this speech of Narendra Modi in the CBI campaign, you are missing out on a bigger truth," Sisodia said.

The CBI registered the corruption case against Sisodia after obtaining prior mandatory approval from the President of India as Section 17A of the Prevention of Corruption Act requires the consent of the President to investigate a legislator in a union territory.

The FIR was registered against Sisodia only after 17A was approved by the President’s Office on August 17. As soon as the FIR was registered, a LOC (Look Out Circular) was issued against 13 named persons, including Sisodia, to alert the immigration authorities if anyone leaves India.
