Mahindra launches Scorpio-N most powerful at Rs.99Lac, Scorpio-N

Home automotive manufacturer Mahindra and Mahindra, on Monday, unveiled the latest version of its famous SUV, 20 years after the launch of the first Mahindra Scorpio, called 'Scorpio-N.' The carmaker also claims that the new SUV is the largest and most advanced version of all Scorpio to date.

Bookings of the new Scorpio-N can be made from July 30, 2022, on the Mahindra website and in retail outlets. Prices for the new SUV start at Rs 11.99 lakh for entry repairs and increase up to Rs 19.49 lakh (front display room) for the high-end version. The new Scorpio-N will be available in five variants - Z2, Z4, Z6, Z8 and Z8 Luxury.

The company went on to say that these initial launch prices are only 25,000 percent and will disclose the prices for the automatic variant and 4WD on July 21. Interestingly, the new Scorpio-N will not replace the existing Scorpio, which is likely to be renamed. ‘Scorpio Classic,’ but will stand aside as a new offering.

The New Scorpio N will not have a direct rival in the category in this country as there are no other body on-frame SUVs available in India. However, in terms of performance and pricing, the new SUV will go up compared to Tata Harrier, Tata Safari and MG Hector.

The company also claims that the new Scorpio-N is based on the company's new body structure and measures 4,662 mm long, 1,917 mm wide and 1,870 mm long. The new SUV’s wheelbase stands at 2,750 mm. The company also revealed that the new Scorpio-N is being manufactured at the company's base in Chakan.
