Booking Train Tickets

To book train tickets on Amazon, go to the Amazon Pay homepage on your Amazon.in app or mobile web browser and click on the Trains icon. Alternatively, you can type 'Trains' in the product search bar to access the train tickets booking page. Once you are on the booking page, simply follow the on-screen instructions to complete your booking. It is important to note that you need to login to your Amazon.in account in order to book train tickets on Amazon.

Amazon charges a service fee for enabling the booking of train tickets on Amazon.in. This fee is justified by the fact that Amazon facilitates the finding and booking of train tickets for any route within India, providing a seamless booking experience and 24x7 customer support. Additionally, Amazon ensures timely refunds for cancellations. The service fee is non-refundable, even in the case of cancellations.

Currently, Amazon does not support the booking of onward and return journeys together. You will need to book train tickets for onward and return journeys separately.

You can book your train tickets up to 120 days in advance, excluding the date of journey at the train originating station. However, please note that this number may vary for some intercity day express trains or special trains.

In one transaction, you can book tickets for a maximum of 6 people (aged 5 years or more). For tatkal tickets, the maximum number of people per transaction is 4 (aged 5 years or more). Additionally, you can be accompanied by two children (aged less than 5 years), but their names will not be mentioned on the E-ticket as they are not ticketed.

IRCTC, the Indian Railways Catering and Tourism Corporation, has a monthly limit of 12 bookings per user ID. However, if you have linked your Aadhaar card to your IRCTC user ID, you can make up to 24 bookings per month.
